Pilates Wunda Chair For Pregnancy and Older Adults

In this workshop you will learn a very “hands on” way to work with special populations on the Wunda Chair and the challenges and modifications that are needs for these groups. Focusing on breathing, mobility and stability work in the various stages of pregnancy and also the adaptations that are needed with some of the issues in the ageing process. Working with plus-sized clients will also be adressed on the wunda chair. A comprehensive outline will be provided for you to take back and use immediately with your clients.

After your Intro Workshop, you can make the decision about whether or not to sign up for our 6-week Kettlebell Class Series, so you can keep the momentum going, the fat melting away, and your best body developing right before your eyes.

Yoga For Runners 8-week Program – Premier Pilates & Yoga

Tight muscles will limit range of motion in joints, create muscular imbalances that will affect your running stride and increase your risk of injury. To stay healthy and on the road, runners benefit greatly from integrating yoga as part of their training program. This class is taught by a NYC Marathoner, Runner and Certified Yoga Instructor with several years of experience teaching yoga to runners, sports teams and other athletes. Specifically for runners, this program includes both strength and flexibility in key zones. Yoga is not only for flexible people – those that have the most to gain are ‘tight’ bodies, like runners and other endurance athletes. Other athletes are welcome to attend as well.

Kettlebell Classes

Premier Pilates & Yoga’s Kettlebell Classes are literally tailored to fit the clients’ goals and needs for each workout. The workouts are not one size fits all style like many classes available. Every workout is well thought out and planned for the particular group attending. In addition, every month there is a new focus. Some months are power and strength focused with a major fat loss component. Other months are focused on conditioning and speed. In addition to work with Kettlebells, we add lots of Suspension Training, Ropes or ball exercises to the classes focusing on balance, coordination, metabolic training, fat loss, toning, and stability. The workouts are balanced, challenging, different, FUN and most of all effective. This is what will help you get to your goals, lose weight, get stronger and keep you motivated. Being well rounded is very important for any life style.

Our Start Up Package
is the best way to get started with kettlebell training. No matter what your experience with kettlebells, the New Student Start Up is required in order to participate in our group classes. It includes one 60-minute private training session with one of our Knowledgeable, Certified Instructors in order to get you ready for our group classes, or to determine what level of our group classes you are ready for. Beginners will learn the 5 basic kettlebell exercises – and more advanced students will get a forms review and a determination of their level of conditioning. In addition, you will receive four group classes. The Start Up Package must be used within four weeks of the date you sign up for the package.

Classes are offered Wednesdays 4:00-5:00pm and Sundays: 5:30pm – 6:30pm Private Sessions may be arranged at your convenience.
